Bodypump class...

Dear tricep track,

Why do you kill me EVERY WEEK? It's not fair.


Last week's workouts.

Monday: Bike to gym, Bodypump class
Tuesday: bike ride (in the rain!)
Wednesday: 1/2 mile swim
Thursday: power walk
Friday: rest day
Saturday: bike ride
Sunday: rest day

I had planned on going for a bike ride yesterday, but twisted my ankle and deided to spend the evening with my foot elevated. Boo! It still hurts today, actually, but I walked to the store and it seems... OK. Not swollen or anything.

Just the weather?

I have been very tired and sluggish all week. It's been making the workouts really rough. Is it just the crummy weather? Who knows. What I do know is that it's not a lack of sleep. I've been getting 8-9 hours a night.

Before last night, I had not been to Bodypump class in several weeks.

I like the new choreography a LOT. But I forgot how challenging that class is. I slept like a baby last night.

Nice Ride

My bike is in the shop, so this week I used a Nice Ride bike for the first time.

Anyone used to a sleek racing bike will find them big and clunky. But I ride a mountain bike (with road tires), so I didn't think they were terrible. And the seats are very comfy. My butt did not hurt at all after my ride! I ended up subscribing for the year. I figure I can use the Nice Ride for some transit and other short rides. Which will save wear and tear on my bike and also will make it less of a pain to keep my bike in my apartment.

I live on the 3rd floor. Hauling a bike up and down the stairs is a giant pain. But I've already had one whole bike, plus a seat and seat post stolen in the last 2 years. I wish my building would put in bike lockers!
